As always, here is the updated Free Agency Tracker:
Yes yes it’s pretty roomy now at the top! Here are the updates:
Let’s start at the top where Hikuleo and Alex Windsor used to sit. Hikuleo is now Tala Tonga in WWE, having formally made his debut to assist Solo Sikoa this past week. This came after a year of being signed and a month or so of appearing on dark matches. Windsor is now formally in AEW, with a video package re-introducing her to the audience appearing on this week’s Collision.
Another person off our Tracker is Cedric Alexander, who has now signed with TNA. We previously had him all the way down in Unlikely as it didn’t seem like the winds were blowing towards him signing an exclusive deal anywhere at the time.
Let’s fly over to Japan now for some updates there. Sareee fulfilled her mission and won the IWGP Women’s Championship off Syuri at Stardom The Conversion. While not unheard of for a freelancer to win a Bushiroad title, it’s not the norm - but Sareee is also not a normal talent. We’ll move her odds up from Unlikely to Possible. Meanwhile, the theory that Miyu Yamashita might be leaving Japan to sign to AEW/ROH is picking up steam. Yamashita got a featured graphic promoting her appearance on ROH TV, and she was pulled from TJPW’s Houston show the same night as ROH Supercard of Honor leading to speculation she’ll appear at SCOH. All of this combines to upgrading Yamashita to Probable.
One additional oddity is AJ Styles. There were rumors swirling that he may have re-signed with WWE, which would take him off our Tracker. Then the report from Fightful came out, which said sources told them they were hearing Styles re-signed for just one year; Fightful couldn’t confirm when this extension would’ve been signed. Due to all of that and the intrigue around it, and with little fully confirmed, it still puts Styles within the one-year window we consider here at WrestleWatch of potential jumps and thus he stays on the Tracker as a Remote chance.
